Hello Compton !

Each year as Jason, Galen, Pat and Jeff come to town for the NASCAR race at the end of each September, I try to track down other Marlatt 5 - onians. Good news this year! Our list is growing.... I was able to track down Byron (OB), Rene (again after a few years of losing touch), and Johnny (I can't get rid of him).

After this year's mini reunion, we got to talking about a 2009 larger reunion of the Marlatt 5 crew... So I would like to tentatively plan a reunion Oct 3/4 2009 in Kansas City . We would love for everyone to attend and catch up on old times and see each other once again. We will either meet at our home or rent a venue... most all plans are yet to come, but I want to put it on your radar for 2009.

We need to grow the list of potential contacts to the invitee list as well...

I have looked for some of these in the past and have failed with my attempts. Here are some names of mentioned, but it needs to grow so add what you can:

Eric Scheele (1989) Jeff Morris contacted the KState Alumni Association and they are going to be helping us track down some of the crew. Can we get a list of all residents on Marlatt 5 in 1989 and 1990? Does anyone know someone that can help us track down lost Compton residents? Lawyers, data specialist, private investigators, ect...... It will be a great weekend...

Hello All,

After 3 days with the website in place our missing list is getting more complete and we are making great progress on locating some lost Compton residents.

Here are the latest updates:

1. Steve Jaworski has been located! Welcome back Steve... good to have found you! Steve has updated his profile as well - https://www.classcreator.com/Manhattan-KS-Marlatt-5-Compton-C-Wing-1991-1995//class_profile.cfm?member_id=869809

2. With some assistance from the KSU Alumni Association and Jeff Morris, Johnny Tucker and myself we are getting closer to a few other of our Compton brothers. Here are the latest developments:

a. David Boone is in Dallas, TX. We are trying to make contact. Credit to KSU Alumni Assoc via Jeff Morris.

b. John 'Coop' Roberson is in Eagan, MN. We are trying to make contact. Credit to Jeff Morris via classmates.com

c. Mike from Schlagle HS is Michael Graham from Schlagle - We are trying to make contact. Credit to Eric Scheele via classmates.com

d. Chris Foster was last located in Laurel, MT. We do not have a contact method yet.

e. Kelly Zart is in Illinois. We are trying to make contact. Credit to Jeff Morris and Johnny Tucker via classmates.com. Steve Jaworski has mentioned he has a method to contact him. Please send over Steve if you have....

f. Brian Brown was thought to be in GA. I contacted this person and it turned out to be a Brian Brown from Marlatt Hall in 1985! Dead end.

g. Rob McFrazier is believed to be in Topeka, KS. Johnny is tracking to confirm.

We are making some nice progress overall. I see profiles being updated and pictures / memories being loaded. It is all great stuff!

John 'Coop' Roberson (1989) Mike and Roy from Hiawatha are Roy Ewing and Mike Wolf. I don't know where they ended up but we watched enough Jeopardy that I remember the last names. I actually ended up in an evening programming class with Chris Foster at JCCC back in 1995. We drank alot of beer after class that semester.

Good to track you down Coop! And great memory on Mike and Roy... I remember now - oh the recessed memories. We have a online contact tracker, give me your email address and I will add you to the list if you want to participate finding the others and update you own contact information so we have a working record moving forward. We are making good progress.

Hello my Compton brothers,

Marlatt5.com continues to update. We have some great updates to report.

1. John 'Coop' Roberson has been located! It is great to find you Coop! Little did you know, you and OB (Bryon Berry) live about 10 minutes from each other!! Please get in contact with each other and find Rob Brandenburg while you are up there in snowville... Coop has updated his profile with pics and I can honestly say I would have never known it was him. Everyone else to this point looks basically the same, but Coop gets the cocoon award so far (most changed).

2. I have added some new pics to the slide show and created 2 new links - PICS and FUN PICS... check it out and enjoy! Thanks for new pics from Jason Gordon. Jason has a video he is reviewing - contents unknown? Could it be the infamous JAMES FILES??? Stay tuned... rumor has it that the JAMES FILES are securely with Brother Galen Manners, but that is yet to be confirmed.

Keep the media coming... it really adds to the site!!!

3. Renunion information has been updated. The Oct 2-4 weekend, 2009 are the set dates so do plan accordingly. We are tenatively planning a Friday evening, Saturday day and Saturday evening gatherings. We are open to suggestions, but tenative plans are posted. 7 Compton members confirmed thus far plus their significant others.

By the way, we have room in our place if anyone needs a place to stay... 2 extra bedrooms and even more space if needed. Just let me know.

4. Coop has supplied us with the Hiawatha boys last names - Rob Ewing and Mike Wolf - remember them now? I did when he mentioned the names. We haven't started a search for them yet, but will keep you updated.

Hello Everyone -

We are in slide show mode now and need your help.

We need any memorabilia from the Marlatt 5 - Compton years.... articles, pics, video, anything you have and want to share.

We have a digital upload site that is simple to use or you can snail mail material directly to Jason who has graciously volunteered to organize the material and create a take home DVD for all - BUT we need your help with material.

Favorite memory videos - Grab your video camera and tape yourself with your favorite Marlatt 5 memory and upload it or send to Jason. This would be great to add to the slide show. Everyone is invited to do and especially those that can not make the reunion - please do this and we will send you a copy of the DVD when all is done.
