He is survived by his parents: Duane and Lois Hord, Cape Coral, Fla.; his sister and brother-in-law: Susan (Hord) and Derek Bown; his nieces and nephew: Meagan, Kaitlyn, and Austin Bown, Manitowoc; aunts and uncle: Pattie and Lloyd Hord, Kingsford, Mich.; Barb Hord, Aurora, Wis.; Shirley Wyngarden, Tavares, Fla.

Jim was thoughtful, caring, and hardworking. His presence and his smile will be missed. A special thank you to Fran Holly, the Holly family, and co-workers at Shoto Corporation and to neighbors, Rosie and Richard Miller.

Friends and family are invited to share in a celebration of Jim's life on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Lakeshore United Methodist Church (formerly St. Paul's), 411 Reed Avenue, Manitowoc.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Community Cares Program, assisting the financial needs of surgical patients, and the Providence Fund, assisting the financial needs of those in need of durable medical equipment and medication, including pain management.
