Roger was in a single-car accident in the summer of 1985 (in Manitowoc County, I believe) and was comatose for about 10 years until his death. He was variously cared for by his mother, mother and father, and placed in care facilities during that time. I knew the best of him, hoped the most for him in his life, and am saddened to know that his potential to contribute meaningfully and productively will not be realized.
