I appreciate all of the work involved in planning an event like this and realize that committee members are doing it all on a volunteer basis, in addition to the demands of their regular lives. That being said, I also agree that the price seems quite steep, especially during a recession. Perhaps an all cash bar would have helped (especially for non-drinkers) Maybe instead of prizes, we could have "awarded" the entire class with a lower price. But, I do also agree that his is a "one time only" thing. Sadly, it seems that I am not the only one that this literally a one-time thing, since it seems many of us have never before received a reunion invite. I assume that the others, like I, just figured that our class officers just dropped the ball and/or didn't care enough to plan reunions. I just found out about the 15, then the 10. I knew about the 5 from word of mouth, not because I was notified. I'm sure I was not the only one to be quite disappointed as the summers of '95, 2000, and 2005 rolled by with no reunion. I was actually still waiting on an invite for this runion when someone posted on facebook about registration. I do hope to see my classmates after all this time, but it looks like I might not see a lot of them, anyway. Kind of makes arranging a trip (without my family) to Wisconsin in the first weeks of the school year seem like it might be less than hoped for.
