Waymon and I, our senior year went on a double date with these two young ladies (I won't mention their names) but we did this on several occassion. All the while we were in school I never knew he was as joyful. Very good on the football field, and track too. aka SPARK! Our hang out spot was his brother house in Lagrange, AR.

Miss Ya!

"Brown Eyes", that was my nickname for Waymond Peer because he had the sexiest eyes. I have so many fond memories of Waymond until I don't know where to start. Waymond gave me a pair of earrings in the image of a cross when we were in the 6th grade, I was suppose to be his girlfriend. I gave him this $1.00 necklace with a "W" on it, and he wore it proudly. I got the necklace at Ronny's Dollar Store, but I figured it had to be either Waymond's mom or sister to pick out the earrings because they were nice. Also, I remember talking to Waymond at a greek show in Pine Bluff, he had pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fra. while I had Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and they were suppose to be stepping. He was a little weak then from his illness but he still insisted on being apart of the show. Waymond and I exchanged numbers and stayed in touch. The last time that I spoke with Waymond, he told me that he was heading to Texas for some type of experimental cancer treatment. He asked me to pray for him and of course I did so.Waymond and I shared many other conversations before he left us, but I will keep them in my heart. He was the first boy to break my heart. Also, just to add a little humor, while I was pledging Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR, one of my big sisters, Angela Clemmer, made us write get well letters to Waymond. I told my line sisters to make sure that those letters were done to perfection because this guy was special to me.
