James "Jim" Cecil Adams, 73, of Marietta, OH passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH. He was born on October 21, 1943 in Marietta, OH to the late Cecil Brady and Sylvia Strickler Adams.
Jim was a member of Moss Run Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Kay Bush Mitchell Adams; son, Darin Adams (Becky) of Marietta; stepson, Anthony Mitchell of Columbus, OH; son-in-law, Forrest "Pete" Rose of Lakeland, FL; four grandchildren, Laken Adams Shook (Cody), Tyler Adams, Dylan Rose and Austin Rose; a brother, Kevin Adams (Stephanie) of Bradenton, FL and best friends, Dave Close (Connie) of Marietta.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue; a daughter, Margo Adams Rose and a brother, Harold Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta with Robert Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Newport Cemetery.
