William L. Campbell

Classmate Bill Campbell has passed away.

William L. “Bill” Campbell, 74, of “Turkeyhen” Fleming, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 28, 1944 to Gordon J. “Hess” Campbell and Vera Dixon Campbell. He was a 1962 graduate of Marietta High School. He was a member of Warren Chapel Church, Masonic Lodge #1 and Scottish Rite. He was a dedicated Welding Instructor at Washington County Career Center for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Fran Becker Campbell whom he married March 2, 1963; one son, Lyle W. Campbell and his wife Shannon and two granddaughters, Kylie and Khloe Campbell of Marietta; one sister, Gloria Casto Keller of Massillon; one sister-in-law Marjorie Becker of Marietta; one brother-in-law Rex Lang of Lowell and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Susan J. Dick Lang of Lowell; his father and mother-in-law Woodrow and Henrietta Becker and brother-in-law Jacob Becker.

Bill loved his family, friends, farming, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 16 at the K of C Hall, at Churchtown, from 12-4 p.m. with lunch served from 12 to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington County Home Nursing and Hospice. The family wishes to thank Dr. Lloyd Dennis and all staff from Home Nursing and Hospice for their devoted care.
