Our dear classmate, Laurie Crecelius Lukens, died July 28, 2021 at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Florida. Along with her husband and fellow classmate Joe Lukens, we mourn her passing. Joe shared that Laurie had been fighting a fierce battle with cancer that joined forces with COPD and COVID.  We will miss her bright spirit and remember many wonderful times shared with Laurie over the years. Our thoughts are with Joe and the family.

Lauren Crecelius Lukens, of Fort Myers, Florida, died on July 28, 2021, at the Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 3, 1945 and was the daughter of Phil and Ruth Crecelius. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1962 and Ohio Wesleyan University in 1966.

Since 1976 Laurie was helped by friends and helped friends of Bill. She is survived by her husband Joseph Lukens as well as her two children Philip Lukens and Michelle Cochran and her sister, Ellen Schlachter. She is also survived by her grandchildren Joseph and Jackson Lukens and Gabriella.Jaden, Kaitlyn and Austin Cochran. A private ceremony will be held later this year. Any donations should be made to the American Cancer Society.
