Rodney G. Dusz, 61, of Mount Tom Road, Marietta, passed away at 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006 in Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1944, to Thomas E. and Mary M. Morrison Dusz in Cambridge, Ohio. He had been employed at Broughton Foods as a supervisor, retiring after 42 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge.

On May 24, 1993, he married Catherine Halsted, who survives with one son, Carol (Marcie) Dusz of Barlow. He is also survived by one stepson and three stepdaughters, Ronald (Tonya) Evans Jr. of Lower Salem, Melody Evans (Junior Poulton) of Marietta, Angie Evans (Jamie Ridgeway) of Marietta, and April (Brad) Hackney of Fleming; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Also, four brothers and two sisters survive: Dave (Rachael) Dusz, Ronald Dusz, Tommie (Maria) Dusz, Donnie (Lisa) Hayes, Cheryl Minor, and Vickie (Robert) Daugherty.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 31, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor John Michael Campbell officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home from 6 p.m. on Saturday until one hour before the service.
