Alyce Jo "Jodie" Kidder, 57, of Ridgewood Court, Marietta, died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Mount Carmel Hospital East in Columbus.

She was born Aug. 18, 1943, in Marietta, to Ernest and Florience Babcock Flowers. She was a graduate of Marietta High School. She worked as a nurse's aide at Marietta Memorial Hospital and then in the home care division of Seneca County Health Department. She enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her husband, John Kidder; three sons, David Thomas and his wife, Shelley, of Tiffin, John Kidder II and his wife Jan, of Columbus and Gary Kidder and his wife, Beth, of Columbus; two daughters, Tammy Rumschlag and her husband, Greg, of Tiffin, and Patricia Ann Jones; seven grandchildren, Margaret "Margo," Ta-Ha, Jessica, Tiffany, Brittany, Robbie and Ryan; one brother, James Flowers of Gettysburg, Pa.; five sisters, Mrs. William (Wanda) Beeney, Mrs. James (Marilyn) Mullinex, Jackie Hockenberry, all of Marietta, Mrs. David (Virginia) Benham of Moundsville, W.Va., and Mrs. Larry (Pat) Ice of Lebanon, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Orville and Eileen Kidder of Marietta.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bruce Ernest Flowers.

Services are at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at McClure-Schafer Funeral Home in Marietta with the Rev. Russell Ice officiating. Burial is in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 p.m. today until the hour of the services at the funeral home, where the family will be present to meet friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
