Michael B. Hendrickson

Michael Hendrickson, Sr. of Waverly Road in Willamstown passed away at his home on December 29, 2009.

He was born on June 28, 1944, in Marietta, a son of Homer and Mabel Rumbold Hendrickson. Mike was a graduate of Marietta High School with the class of 1962 and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He worked for Union Carbide as a chemical operator, Bingler Ford, and Marietta Mack for 25 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed watching dirt track racing, hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In 1968, he married Carolyn Lane who survives with three sons: Michael Blake (Kelly) Hendrickson, Jr. and Gene Arthur (Kristi) Hendrickson II both of Williamstown and James "Jay" Frank (Pamela) Hendrickson of Waverly; five grandchildren: Matt, Sarah, Michael, Dalton and Wyatt. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister: Gene Arthur (Chris) Hendrickson of Marietta, Ruth Mollohan of Waterford and Glen "Bub" Reese of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Reese.

Funeral services will be held on Friday January 1, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
