Bonnie B. Patterson, 66, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born on Feb. 17, 1943, in Marietta, a daughter of Virginia and Judd Hollister. Bonnie attended Marietta High School and worked at Speedway. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and enjoyed her dogs.

On April 27, 2002, she married Russell Patterson, who survives with her children, son, James R. Science Jr. and his wife, Connie of Hassfurt, Germany, daughter Teri Klase and her husband, David, of Marietta, and son, Ronald "Scott" Science of Marietta. Also surviving are two stepsons, Kenneth Patterson and Keith Patterson and his wife, Sandra, of Marietta; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather who raised her, Jack Kimble; her daughter, Tonya Ward; and brother, Jerry J. Kimble.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Mayes officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
