John (Jack) Page, 71, of Gilbert, SC, formerly of Marietta, Ohio, passed away January 9, 2015, surrounded by his family at his home after a courageous battle against cancer.
Jack was born February 19, 1943, in Jackson, Ohio to Joseph and Marguerite Page.
He was a 1962 graduate of Marietta Senior High School. On September 17, 1960, he married his high school sweetheart Shirley Phillips. He was a member of the Elks, Moose and Devola Fire Dept.
He was employed by Thermo Fisher (Forma Scientific) for 41-1/2 yrs. until his retirement in 2006.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Page of Gilbert, SC; his children Debbie (Bret) Kesselring of Gilbert, SC; Steve (Beth-Ann) Page and Mike (Pam) Page of Marietta, Ohio; seven grandchildren - Erica Kesselring, Erin (Don) Townley, Ariel (Joey) Hayes, Ariann Kesselring, Amanda Rutherford, Steven Page, and Brooke Page; 10 great grandchildren – Bria, Brynn and Bret Becker, Briley and Brooks Poplyk, Baileigh Hoskinson, Kassidy, Brantlee and Delanie Townley and Deacon Hayes and a nephew Ross (Ruth) Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Johnnie Ross Page and his mother and father, Joseph and Marguerite Page.
Per Jack’s wishes, he will be cremated.
There will be a memorial service in Marietta, Ohio at a later date.
