Margaret Ratliff Barth
Margaret E. Barth 72, of Marietta, OH passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 31, 1944 in Braxton Co., WV to the late Earl Lee and Hattie May Shaver Ratliff. Margaret was a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Margaret was active on the Washington Co. Fair Board, Civitan Club, the Farm Bureau and River Cities Farmers Market. She enjoyed their oversized garden and sharing their bounty with family and friends.
Margaret married Paul G. Barth on May 29, 1965 and enjoyed 52 years with the love of her life. She is survived by Paul and their children, Catherine Wolfe (Terry) , Brian Barth (Lisa), and Michael Barth (Cheryl); grandchildren, Kaleb Wolfe (Autumn), Kourtney Wolfe, and Brady and Alex Barth; brothers, Charles Ratliff (Janet) and Carl Ratliff (Carolyn); sister, Mary Jo Bryan (Kenna); brother-in-law Robert L. Barth and sisters-in-law, Joan and Sandra Barth.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Opal Catherine Ratlifff, Carolyn Florence Ratliff and brothers, Eugene Ratliff, Morgan Dale Ramsey, John Ratliff,David Ratliff and in-laws, Barney and Hilda Barth, Gene Barth and Leroy Barth.
Services were held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St. with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating.
Burial followed in Putnam Cemetery. Visitation was from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 19. Online condolences may be made at www.hadleyfh.com
