Mr. Hodge was born September 29, 1970 in Herrin to Jim Hodge and Pat (Potter) Newson. He married Lisa Smith on December 2, 1999 in Paducah KY.

Survivors include his parents; wife, Lisa of Johnston City; children Gage, Hunter, Brock, and Vance; brother Steve Buckner, grandmother Mary Malone; uncle and aunt Bob and Rose Hodge; aunt Rosemary Hodge; aunt and uncle Judy and Jim Gentile.

He was preceded by his sister Deona Buckner.

Mr. Hodge was a deckhand on a river barge, he loved to fish, camp, and play basketball.
