Obituary for Elias Bryer, Jr. 

Elias Bryer, Jr. was born April 30, 1944 in Marshall, TX and passed away December 6, 2017 in Longview. Elias grew up on Marshall and graduated from Marshall High in 1962. After that he obtained his BA in Business at NTSU and a Masters in Economics at the University of South Dakota. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a Captain during the Vietnam War. Elias owned his own Real Estate Company for many years and worked as an Instrument Technician for Start-Up Engineer until retirement. 
Elias was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa Merline Oney and Elias Bryer, Sr. His brothers; Michael Oney and Jack Bryer, and his sister, Johnnie Robertson. 
He is survived by his wife Wanda Bryer, his sons; Paul Bryer, Mark Bryer and wife Amanda, and Stephen Bryer, Sr. His grandchildren; Star Bryer, Haley Bryer, Stephen Bryer, Jr. and Jacie Edwards. Brothers; Harold Oney, Travis Dan Oney and Harold Bryer and wife Sandy. Elias is also survived by his sisters; Betty Richardson and husband Tom, Joan Brackeen and husband William, Dianne Morgan and husband J.R. and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. 
A memorial service for Elias will be held this at 4 pm Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral home of Longview. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the service.

So sorry to hear of another classmates passing. Makes us all thankful that we get to see each other at reunions at least from time to time. Sorry he missed this years.

Elias and I were classmates from grade 1.  He was such a sweet guy and always willing to help you. I missed Elias and Wanda  at our last reunion. Please know, Wanda, that all our classmates are grieving with you.

Brenda Simpson (Gatlin)

So sad to lose another classmate. He was always so kind and nice to everyone. Elias  and George Chance were the favorites of the classes we shared..   My deepest sympathy to his family.  May the Lord be with them  at this sorrowful time.
