Katie Lawrence Thompson, 72, of Karnack, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 in Marshall, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 14th at Blocker Cemetery.

Katie was born June 21, 1943 in Marshall, Texas to the late Roy Lawrence and the late Erma Mae Lawrence. In 1965 she married Cal “J.C.” Thompson. They were blessed with one son, Rodney Thompson. She was a homemaker who spent her life caring for and loving her husband and son.

Katie is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lawrence and Erma Mae Lawrence; her husband, J.C. Thompson and eight siblings.

Katie is survived by her only son, Rodney Thompson.
