Bobby Wist

Robert Clarence Wist passed away April 9, 2014 following a brief respiratory illness in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Bob was born September 3, 1944 in Marshall, Texas to Anne Hope Wist and Clarence Wist. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1962 and attended college at Lamar Tech and Stephen F. Austin. Bob was proud to have served his country as a paratrooper in the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment at Fort Kobbe, Panama Canal Zone, from 1966 to 1968 being discharged honorably as an E5. Bob spent his active life building power plants all over the U, S. One of his last projects was construction of the Delta 4 Rocket Launch Platform at Cape Canaveral. He leaves behind his wife Barbara of 48 years, three daughters, Christine, Catherine, and Caroline, six grandchildren, Kylee and Keegan Sullivan, Austin and Bailey Schubert, and Cassidy and Johnathan Zipoy. In addition he is survived by his younger brother David, and a nephew Jeffrey and a niece Sara. In addition he leaves two great nieces and nephews, Reagan and Ross.
