Morgan Darrell Muse, Sr., affectionately known as "Bubba" passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at his home in Jefferson, Tx. Bubba was born in Jefferson on April 29, 1944 to Morgan Grafton and Florene Ross Muse. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1962, working many years as a heavy equipment mechanic, owning his own company for over 10 years. He spent many years as a firefighter, a job he was very proud of. Bubba enjoyed fishing, barging, his annual deer hunt with his buddies, visiting with friends drinking a cold "Natty Lite" and talking...he loved to talk and share stories with his friends and family. Bubba is preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Florene Muse; his sister, Lois Faye Muse; his brother-in-law, Charles Allen and numerous friends who have gone on before him. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jean Muse; his children, Morgan Muse, Jr. and his wife, Tanna, Laurie Muse Morehead and her husband, Mike, Drew Baker and his wife, Jennifer, Kim Harris and her husband, Tim, and Tobi Barron and her husband, Scott; his grandchildren, Kevin Muse and his wife, Kristen, and Kennedy Muse, Larami Morehead and his wife, Taytum, Jesse Baker and his wife, Alani, Jacob Baker and his wife, Kayla, Marcus Hicks, Sydney Barron, Bradley Barron, Justin McMillon and his wife, Lacy, Wendy Satterfield and her husband, Heath. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Marleigh, Hendrix, Tinley, Grayson, Kenah, Jacob, Jaxon, Cole, Cass, Kaden, Mason, Lucas, Gavin and Finley; his sister, Betty Allen, numerous other family members and many friends, and his beloved four-legged fur babies, Pete and Tippy. Bubba will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Beth Calloway, his devoted hospice nurse and to all the Magnolia Manor staff for the love and care shown to Bubba. A time of visitation will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 5pm-7pm. Burial will be private.
