The two made it to the finals along with Angela Moon Jean Chaplin Lins-Eich, David Barajas, Mayor Jim Lowrance and Kim Schryver. The event served as a fundraiser for the ongoing renovations of Marshalltown's 13th Street District and brought in nearly $40,000 with almost $15,000 in ticket sales, $14,000 in votes and $10,000 in the live auction. Jane Bauer, event co-organizer, said she was astonished by the support from the community.
