I recently recieved this  from Megan of an account of Russ's life.
   "Russ was educated in Marshalltown, recieved his BA from Ames, his Master's Degree from Southeast MO State.

   Russ worked for IBM in S.D. WI, NY, and MO; and then for the state of MO in Computer Tech.
   Serviving are his wife Megan, 2 daughters, 2 stepsons, 16 grandchildren and 4 great grands. Also surviving are two sisters, one uncle and many cousins".

There will be no services.

Megan Franke, who is Russ's wife messaged me on Facebook to share this message with all of you.

"Six weeks ago Russ was feeling poorly so I took him to the hospital where he spent 3 weeks and ended up in Dialysis. He was getting stronger and doing much better then BAM! No real explanation other than "complications from Dialysis." He didn't suffer and passed peacefully in his sleep.  He was a good guy and enjoyed keeping in contact with all of you!''
