Roger Ferguson, 56

Roger E. Ferguson, 56, of 311 N. 7th St., died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at Mary Greeley Medical Center.  Services will be held Monday at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Bobby Shomo of Center Street Baptist Church officiating.

visitation will be from 12-9 p.m. Sunday at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, where the family will greet friends from 12-2p.m., Sunday.  A memorial fund has been established in his name.

He was born August 21, 1942, in Marshalltown, the son of Wayne Howe and Laura Cochron Ferguson.  He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1960.  He was married to Linda Edwinson on March 30, 1963 in Newton, and has been employed by Fisher Controls for the past 21 years, retiring in 1982 as an industrial engineer.  He was the former president of the Marshall County Kidney Foundation.

He is survived by his wife: Linn Ferguson, Marshalltown; one son, Don Ferguson, Cedar Rapids; Parents, Wayne and Laura Ferguson, Marshalltown; two brothers; Dennis (Jo) Ferguson of Marshalltown and Larry (Carol) Ferguson, Bettendorf; and one sister, Barbara Beem, Oakridge, TN.

Services for Roger E. Ferguson, 56, of 311 N. 7th St., who died Thursday, Dec. 17th at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, were held Monday, Dec. 21 at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Bobby Shomo of the Center Street Baptist Church officiating.

Honoray bearers were Rick Ray, Bill Baily, Ralph Young, Gene Holubar, Charles Snyder, Bill Thompson, and Howard Thompson.  Groups representing Fisher Controls, Kidney Dialysis Center and Marshalltown Class of 1960.

Following the funeral services, his body will be donated to the University of Iowa for anatomical purposes.
