D. Kent Masmar, 47

D. Kent Masmar, 47, of Costa Mesa, CA., died Saturday, Sept 2 of injuried suffered in an auto accident.  Following immediate cremation, memorial services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Elim Lutheran Church with Dr. John Allen officiating.

Mr Masmar was born May 30, 1942 in Marshalltown, the son of David and Katherine Nelson Masamar.  He graduated from Marshalltown High School and attended Iowa State University and the School of Floral Design in Denver, CO.  He formerly owned a flower shop in Longmont, CO. and was the owner of the Clark-Kennedy Florists in Costa Mesa, CA.  He was a former member of the Elim Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his mother, Katherine Masmar of Marshalltown, his wife, Ruby, to whom we was married on Feb. 20, 1984, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a brother, Jon Masmar of Osage.   He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
