Comments:
I grew up in Marshalltown attending grade school at Arnold thru the 2nd grade. Then went to Glick before going to Central Jr. High and MHS. During senior high, I worked at the Orpheum Theatre from 1958 to 1960. After graduation, I went to work at Marshalltown Mfg. in the tagliable thermometer division till 1964 when I got drafted. I served 2 years in the Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. I was discharged in 1966. Returned to work at then Marshalltown Instruments until they closed in 1983, for a total of 24 years. They moved the plant to Nebraska. In 1983 started tending bar at the Elbow Room till purchasing in 1992. It closed in 1994. I managed the 13th Street Mini Mart from 1994 to 1998. Then went to work at Marshalltown Pkg. for Gary Bolar, MHS Class of 1960. Retired from work in 2004. Now enjoy playing golf, throwing darts, and watching my Cubs and Packers at my favorite water hole, Vaughn's Pub. Hope to see you all at our 50th class reunion.
