William "Bill" Knaack, 66, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Monday, December 27, 2010, at his residence. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the Pursel Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Bill was born September 11, 1944 to William and Katheryn (Warring) Knaack in Columbia, GA. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1962. He received his BA from Iowa State University and went on to graduate school at Purdue University. Bill was united in marriage to DeAnne Lukehart on March 13, 1993 in Marshalltown. Bill went into business for himself in 1975, opening K & M Manufacturing in Marshalltown. He was still working and involved in the company. He was a member of the Elmwood Country Club and the Marshalltown Rotary Club. He also spent time serving on the Marshalltown city council and was very active in his Fraternity reunions. He loved to golf, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
Bill will be missed by his loving wife, DeAnne, his children, Jim (Jean) Knaack, Joel (special friend Kelsey), Jenny (Edwar) Delgado, step children, Johnathan (Heather) Lukehart, Jill (Chris) Braye, grandchildren, Jena and James Knaack, Joseph, Benjamin, and Sebastian Delgado, Neala and Cohen Lukehart, Sommer, Aly, Saydee, and Hayden Braye, his sister, Cheryl (Rex) DeWitt, his aunt Andy Stone, mother and father in law, Jim and Betty Wilkens, step mother, Ruth Knaack, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
