In Memory

Kreg Bowman

Kreg Lowell Bowman, 54, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016.

He was born April 13, 1962, in DeWitt to Lowell and Beverly (Gast) Bowman.  Kreg attended schools in DeWitt and Marshalltown, graduating in 1980.

His life was devoted to golf.  Kreg obtained his Class A Pro Status in the 1990's and golfed to a 2 handicap for many years.  After breaking his arm however, Kreg was never able to golf again.  He did continue working as a golf professional at several Arizona golf courses.  Later he worked as the group coordinator for Bell Travel of Sun City.

Kreg will be most remembered however, for his remarkable sense of humor and caring heart.

Left to cherish his memory is his father, Lowell of Sun City; his brother, Kevin (Diane) Bowman of Marshalltown; a niece, Amanda (Mitch) Allison; nephews, Brandon and Austin Bowman as well as other relatives and friends.

Preceding Kreg in death were his mother, grandparents, E.T. and Zelda Bowman and Milroy Gast and Dorothy Gast Clapp.

A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14th, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt, with visitation an hour prior.  The Rev. Jeff Wartgow will officiate with burial at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
