Ronald D. Tink Hunt, Jr., the son of Ronald D. Sr. and Sharon (Mallory) Hunt, was born on March 17, 1962 in Oakland, California. He grew up in Newton, Iowa and moved to Marshalltown, Iowa in 1977. Ron was a graduate of Marshalltown High School in 1980. Ron was united in marriage with Robyn K. Aalfs on May 14, 2005 in Newton. He worked in Dryer Assembly for the Maytag Company for 11+ years. Ron was a member of the Community Heights Alliance Church, UAW Local 997 and MFL (Marshalltown Football League). He loved to go deer hunting, the Kansas City Chiefs, working with children and he loved his family. Ron was a loving and devoted husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Ron died at the age of 43 on December 09, 2005 as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident with his two step sons, Brandon J. and Austin M. Aalfs. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jay and Neola Hunt, Sr. and grandfather, J. W. Mallory and his great-grandparents, Bud and Ruby Melick. Those left to honor Ron¹s memory are his wife, Robyn of Newton; his 2 sons, Nick Hunt and Ryan Hunt of Marshalltown; grandson, Christian Hunt of Newton; Parents, Ronald D., Sr. and Sharon Hunt of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; brother, Scott Hunt of Marshalltown; sister, Jodi (Mike) Nelson of Altoona, Iowa; 7 nieces and nephews, Mitchell, Mallory and Westin Nelson and Carissa, Tiffany Kaylin and Brooklyn Hunt; grandmother, Flavena Mallory of Newton; ex-wife, LaDonna Hunt of Marshalltown and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
