Wow, I haven't updated my profile on this site for 5 years. Since then I've moved from Ohio (where I spent most of my adult life) down here to central Texas, in the Austin area. We arrived in January of 2016. I know that there are lots of MHS class of '80 classmates, their siblings, children and parents etc living here in Texas.

Also in the last five years, our kids have all entered the working world. One stayed in Ohio, one moved to LA, and one lives near us in Texas. I wish I could be geographically closer to all of them! My parents are still living in Marshalltown, and I enjoyed three trips back there in 2019. I'm sure glad I did that last year, since travel has become more challenging during the pandemic.

I was looking forward to our 40th this summer, and will make every effort to attend next summer if we decide to re-try then. I haven't lived in Iowa since graduating from Central College in '84, but I enjoy going back for visits now more than ever (especially to escape the Lone Star State summer heat!).

Facebook has been a helpful way to re-establish classmate connections in recent years. I am interested in what folks are up to these days, though I don't post often. Our class fb page is a good thing, and I appreciate Shannon and others posting TR clippings regularly.

One of the results of getting re-connected with old classmates via fb and reading their old stories is the realization that I missed a heck of a lot of fun stuff during my high school years. I moved in my own (nerdish?) orbit of friends and activities, and had my own adventures, but only now am I realizing how many things happened among my classmates that I had absolutely no clue about. Y'all had some crazy times I wouldn't have minded being a part of!
