Services have been set for Marcy Lynn Varnum, 25, of the Starlight Mobile Home Park, who died Nov. 11 of cancer.  Services will be Saturday at 2 pm from the Pursel-Davis Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at Pursel-Davis.  The family suggests that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Born in Marshalltown on Aug. 20, 1962, she was the daughter of Gerald F. and Yvonne J. Nelson Varnum.  She was reared and educated in Marshalltown, graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1980.  She was employed by K Mart as a salesperson.

Ms. Varnum was proceeded in death by 2 grandfathers and a daughter by a previous marriage.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Varnum of Georgetown, Texas; a brother, Mark L. Varnum of San Marcos, Texas; a sister, Mona L. (Mrs. James) Brennecke of Marshalltown; and grandparents, Mrs. Ruth Varnum and Mr. & Mrs. E.T. Collins, all of Marshalltown.
