I believe Mark Whetstine died in the summer of 1980 actually. I remember being told that he was hit by a car one night outside of what was then called Skatetown. He had been in my homeroom all through school, so I remember him from those times. Rest in peace Mark. No one should have to go so young as that.

I also remember Mark being hit by a car the summer after we graduated. I still think of him when I drive by the old Skatetown. Rest in peace, Mark.

From what I understand, it was a hit and run by Skatetown. Mark & I were neighbors and had some good times riding motorcycles together.
