Curt Faber

Curtis J. Faber, 52, of Marshalltown, IA, went to his eternal resting place on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown. Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 West Main Street has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed towards the family. Curt was born May 23, 1962 to Merle and Janice (Bruns) Faber in Marshalltown, IA. He was raised and educated in Marshalltown. After graduating high school in 1980, he entered the Marine Corps and served his country from 1980-1984. He received his honorable discharge. He was employed by Lennox for 19 years. 

 

Curt was united in marriage to Catherine Hernandez Faber in 1986, later divorcing. From this union, their four children were born; Ashlie Marie Faber of Ankeny, IA, Jonathan Allen Faber of Marshalltown, IA, Alexander Creighton Faber of Cedar Rapids, IA and Jarred Landin Faber of Dike, IA. 

 

Curt enjoyed snowmobiling, Nascar racing, watching sports, fixing anything that needed fixing as well as spending time with his family. He always was willing to help anyone with anything.

 

Surviving Curt’s death are his four children; his mother, Janice Faber of Marshalltown, IA; sisters Debra (Sam) Armstrong of Alderson, WV and Nancy (Shawn) Paul of Copan Ruinas, Honduras; three grandchildren, Autumn, Bailie and Harleigh; his nieces, Michelle McGuire of Ankeny, IA, Melissa Barker of Conrad, IA, Felecia Ellis of Cleveland, OH and Alexis Paul of Copan Ruinas, Honduras as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roger, father, Merle and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
