REUNION REPORT

FRIDAY NIGHT: We met at Trailboss and enjoyed a meal, we visited, we took pictures, and WE LAUGHED.  17 Classmates and 14 spouses attended.  WE HAD A BLAST!!!

SATURDAY:  We met and rode in the parade, we threw candy and beads, we yelled, we cheered, and WE LAUGHED.  We met at the lunchroom, we caught up on each others lives, we snacked, we cooled off, we took pictures, and WE LAUGHED.  WE LAUGHED A LOT!!!  A season of refreshing for the soul.  19 classmates, spouses, various family members, Mr. Birdwell, Mrs. Hall, special guest Ralph Roe, and my mother (Faye Bruce Mitcham the lunchroom lady for 30 years) attended.  The float which Judy and Helen worked long and hard on was dedicated to the memory of Buddy, Perry, Sue, and Joe Lee.  It had a memorial and a picture of each one of them on the front of the float.  The float also won 2nd place out of a group of floats.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

We would like to thank the folks at Marthaville School who helped with the reunion.

Mrs. Mattie Townsend the lunchroom manager (aka Mrs. Floyd Townsend) who served and saw that everything was where it should be when it should be.  Mr. Homer Free who helped set up the tables and chairs.  Mr. Williams the principal who so graciously gave us the run of the place with no strings attached.

We thank each of you for making our 40 Year Reunion a very special day for the class of '69.  We will cherish the memories of that day and your hospitality always.
