Charlene (Alexander) Emerson, 63, Martinsville, passed away at 10:15 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital. 

She was born on Saturday, November 4, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana to late George F. Alexander and Marcelene (Snowdaffron) Alexander, who resides in Centerton. 

Charlene was a 1969 graduate of Martinsville High School and had attended the Grace Missionary Christian Church in Mooresville. 

She is survived by her husband, Michael Joe Emerson, whom she married on April 26, 1973; sons, Michael Ryan Emerson of Martinsville and Bradley Aaron Emerson of Dusseldorf, Germany; brothers, Charles Alexander, Mathew Alexander and Daniel Alexander all of Centerton. 

Also preceding Charlene in death was her sister, Marianne Deppert. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Johnny Garrison officiating. Visitation will be at Costin Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral service. 

Burial will be at the Centerton Cemetery.
