Gary C. Poore, 58 of Bloomington, In passed away on Sept 18, 2009 at Bloomington Hospital.

He was born in Anniston, Al, in 1951 and was a 1969 graduate of Martinsville High School. Gary enjoyed abstract art (The Marker Man), restoring classic automobiles, trucks and cruising on his Harley. He will be remembered for his warm smile, unusual sense of humor and big bear hugs. Gary loved his family, attending the North Central Church of Crist, and his companion cat “G”.

Gary is survived by his mother, Ree Stephenson; stepfather, Fletch Stephenson; stepmother, Mary Kay Rinker; son, John Poore, daughter, Amanda Poore  and brothers Auston and Stephen Poore, sister, Patricia Gallagher, four grandchildren and six half/step siblings. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald A. Poore.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Gary’s name to the American Diabetes Association.

Gary’s memorial service will be 2:00pm Saturday, Sept 26, 2009 at the North central Church, 2121 N. Dunn St, Bloomington, In. The Funeral Chapel of Powell, Deckard and Costin are handling arrangements.
