Susan R. Persha, age 71, of Mayville passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau.

A private family service will be held.

Sue was born on January 11, 1946 the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Manthey) Lehner.  She was united in marriage to Nickolas Persha on June 16, 1972 in West Bend.  Sue had received her Master's in Education through Marian University.  She started her teaching career in West Bend and then taught in Mayville for a total of 46 years.  She was member of the Dodge County Retired Teachers Association and a past member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Animals played a big role in Sue's life and she had a passion for her horses, her Great Danes, and also her chickens.  Sue also loved taking care of her flowers.

Sue is survived by her husband- Nickolas of Mayville.  Her siblings- Bonnie Louden of Hustisford, Thomas (Donna) Lehner of Fond du Lac, James (Sue) Lehner of Mayville, Cynthia Krueger of Mayville, Scott (Martha) Lehner of Beaver Dam, and Terry (Patty) Lehner of Fitchburg.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dale Lehner, and brothers in law Richard Louden and Gregory Krueger.
