Obituary

Lynn A. Zimmel, 45, 330 Mayville St., Theresa, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1991, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. Lynn A. Zimmel was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Fond du Lac, the son of Armund A. and Elsie Schmude Zimmel.  On May 10, 1968, he married Lo Rae Schultz at Ft. Benning, GA.
 
Mr. Zimmel was a 1964 graduate of Mayville High School, graduated from MATC in accounting in 1967, and also graduated from Spencerian in accounting in 1973.  He was president of Zimmel Implement and a salesman for Knowles Produce and Trading Co.  He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Theresa, St. Theresa Finance Committee, member of the Catholic Order of Forrester, past Chief Ranger of C.O.F., also past president of South Wisconsin district of C.O.F., and received the Legion of Honor for C.O.F.; was the 1991 Theresa Lions Outstanding Citizen of the Year, served on the board of directors at Theresa State Bank, a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in Korea form Sept. '68 to Oct of '69, member of Miller-Justman-Guelig Post 270 and Theresa American Legion.  He was past vice commander of the Theresa Legion and past president of Theresa Chamber of Commerce.
 
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brian Zimmel, Madison, and Greg Zimmel of Menomonie; his mother-in- law, Mrs. Gladys Krutke of Theresa; other relatives and friends.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents.
 
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1991 at 10 a.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home to St. Theresa Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. for Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Charles D. Loehr officiating.  Burial was at St. Theresa's Memorial Garden, Theresa.  Miller-Justman-Guelig Post 270 and Theresa American Legion conducted graveside military rites.
 
Visitation was held Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home.  A Prayer Vigil was held on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
