Obituary 

Duane E. Tank, 65, of Mayville, Wisconsin, recently of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.
 
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.  The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the services on Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, Iowa.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the family.
 
Duane was born December 30, 1943, in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of Walter C. and Margaret L. (Niles) Tank. He had retired in 2003 from Maysteel in Mayville as a maintenance mechanic.  While visiting his daughter in Bettendorf, Duane became ill and remained in Bettendorf until his death. Duane enjoyed motorcycles, classic cars and a good game of pool.  He enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
 
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Britt Brockhage, of Bettendorf; his sons, Eric (Chun-mi), of San Antonio, Texas, and Robert Tank, of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Dylan Brockhage, Brianna Brockhage, Eric Tank, Jr., and Beau Brockhage; his mother, Margaret Tank, of Owen, Wisconsin; his sisters, Carmine (Chuck) Hardinger, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, Linda (Gene) Lind, of Port Orchard, Washington, and Amy (Mike) Rechek, of Waupun, Wisconsin; and his two previous wives, Patricia Tank, of Bettendorf, and Mary Tank, of Fond Du Lac. Duane was preceded in death by his father.
