Eric was haveing a hard time with baseball and came to me with his issues about hitting. We went over the basics went to the cages and by the end of the day he had a pretty good stroke going. The next game he did what I always wanted to do and never did, even still, which was hit one over the score board and a grand slam (two seperate goals). He did it with one hit and of course we won. The caption in the paper stated "Eric's Day". I think of Eric Daily...

Shane, I remember Eric's homerun like it was yesterday. If I remember correctly you and I were in the bull pen and watched it go over the score board. That was an exciting day for Eric and his teammates. I too think of Eric often he was a great friend.

That’s good stuff. There are so many funny things about Eric. He may have been the most stubborn of all of my friends, and that says a lot (I'm thinking of you, Roger). Who else would have bought an ultra-cheap car just to show his dad that he can't really be grounded? And who else had more accidents in his cars? Eric was a blast, and a menace on the road.
