Roy Worsham Colbert Obituary

Roy Worsham Colbert, 63 Roy Worsham Colbert, 63, passed away on February 7, 2013. He was born in Darby, Delaware County on December 19, 1949 and was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Helen Colbert and two brothers, Dennis and Jonathan. The third of nine children, Roy was reared in his grandfather's church, the First Baptist Church of Marple. He was educated in the Marple-Newtown and Rose Tree Media School Districts and graduated from Penn State Williamsport University(formerly Williamsport Area Community College) with an Associate's Degree in Printing/Graphics Arts Technology. Roy worked as a printer for over thirty years until he retired from the Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company in 2004. He enjoyed following politics and sports and was a history buff. Known for his sense of humor, generous spirit and kind heart, he was a much-cherished brother and uncle and godfather of his eldest niece, Ayana. He is survived by his six loving brothers and sisters, Laurence, Harriet, Louis, Brian, Lisa and Jennie; six nieces, one nephew and ten great nieces and great nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to gather at the family home to celebrate and remember his life on Saturday, February 16th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
