GREENSBORO — Mike Thompson went to be home with the Lord on Friday, July 29, 2011, surrounded by his family.
During his school years, Mike was an outstanding athlete earning awards in gymnastics and a proud member of the All-State Philadelphia Little Quakers football team.
He was a loving and caring son, brother and friend. He will be missed by his family and friends. Mike was predeceased by his father, Robert H. Thompson. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Thompson; brother, Stephen Thompson; sister, Ann Smith; brother-in-law, Hank Smith; nephew and god-son, Stephen Michael Thompson; nephews, Brandon and Timothy Smith and a niece, Melissa Kenyon.
