Patty was hit by a car and killed while crossing the street at Bradford Beach some time after high school graduation. Because she was fairly quiet and reseved, she did not have a lot of close friends, but I don't think there was anyone who didn't like her because she was always friendly. Patty was a friend of mine from grade school through high school and after. Her home and mine were close enough that I would jump on my bike and head over to her house where we then would both take off on our bikes for a ride around the neighborhood, or I would just walk over to hang out. Her mom always welcomed anyone who would stop by.
