Mark was my best friend growing up from 2nd grade until 7th grade when I moved to PA in 1971. Mark was great fun to be with: creative, funny and always look for something exciting to do. I remember many sleepovers at his house where we stayed up late, engaging in pillow fights, ghost stories, creating elaborate reenactments of divorce court on a tape recorder and seeing how much Yoohoo we could drink.
Every now and then I will be somewhere that has the same smell as Mark's house did, (usually a flower shop), and I am immediately taken back to childhood memories of Midland Park.
Mark came to visit me in PA in 1973 and we had a great time together. We continued to write each other until 1977. I am not sure why but I kept his old letters and will pull them out every couple of years and re-read them.
I don't remember when my mother told me that Mark had died in a car accident but I think I was away in college at the time.
Mark, thanks for all of the fun times and friendship. I miss you and think about you often.
I can remember Beppo jumping off the diving board at a late night Sullivan party with Kerry McGovern on his back. They were both smilling like only Kerry and Mark can.

I always loved hearing Marks laugh.
He left us way too early!
