David Washburn

Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, David Lund Washburn, age 27, passed away of heart failure on June 22, 1998.
He was born May 16, 1971 in Northridge, CA, the son of Richard
and Dona Marie Lund Washburn. He grew up in Sandy, Utah and spent much of his
time in "his" Rocky Mountains. Dave graduated from Hillcrest High School in
1989 and served an LDS mission to San Pedro Sula, Honduras from 1990-1992. He
married Jennilyn Beckman on February 18, 1993 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dave
and Jenni have a son, Colton David, born May 24, 1996. Dave enjoyed fishing,
bow hunting, skiing, and other outdoor activities and loved to spend time in the mountains with family and friends. Dave will be greatly missed for his love of life.
Dave is survived by his wife, Jenni; two year old son, Colton;
parents, Richard and Dona Washburn; brother, Michael (Susie); sister, Christina (Michael) Hill; many nieces and nephews; in-laws, Lowell and Elizabeth Beckman, Roger and Teresa.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 1998 at 11
a.m. at the Cottonwood Creek Stake Center at 1535 East Creek Road. Friends may
call Friday evening for 6-8 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East
7800 South, and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the Stake Center.
Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Estates.
A trust fund has been established in remembrance of Dave for his
pride, joy and best friend, Colton. Contributions will be accepted by: The
Colton David Washburn Trust, c/o JWW Law Office, 3760 Highland Drive #500, SLC,
UT, 84106.

Lisa Marie Miller (-Carlson)

What a great man who adored his wife Jenny and thier son. Dave made me laugh in high school and always reminded me of my good decision I made to transfer from Bright High school, and he was right. My regards again to Jenny...now almost 11 years later.

Steven Dean

I had not heard of Dave's passing until hearing about and joining this website last November. I have fond memories of sitting in front of David (I want to say it was a math class). He did always make me laugh and whenever I heard the Kentucky Headhunters music, I always did and still do think of David.
