Ronald "Ronnie" A. Martinez
1963 ~ 2011
Our beloved son, companion, brother and friend passed away December 20, 2011 at his home. He was born March 16, 1963 to Norbert A. and Lorna A. Sabbe Martinez.
Ron loved life, whether it was traveling with family and friends to Disneyland or hurrying down to Vegas to see Jimmy Buffet. Ron was a die-hard "parrot head." Ron loved cheering on his Pittsburg Steelers and Utah Jazz, camping, and taking tons of pictures. But mostly he loved spending time with his family, especially his sweetheart of 27 years and their 4-legged children.
Ron had a big heart and loved to give hugs to everyone he knew and met. He was a giving person - both his time and his energy. He always made you feel like you were the most important. His smile was contagious and was shared with everyone. Ron will be greatly missed by all. Fins up!!!
He is survived by his father, Norbert; Kathy, his best friend and life-long companion; brother, Kenny; sister, Jimilyn (Cary) Winberg; niece, Kylie; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorna; grandpa, Andres Martinez and his other mom, Gladys Ewell.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, December 27th, 6 - 8 p.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox St., Midvale, with Rosary to follow. Mass will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted at any America First Credit Union under the name of Kathy Ewell and would be greatly appreciated.
