Kathie passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from complications following a stem cell transplant in treatment of non-hodgkins lymphoma. Upon graduating from West, she attended Miami University in Oxford OH, lived in the Twin Cities and Manhattan before settling in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Married for 30 wonderful years to John Williams, an amazing mother to daughters, Molly and Sam, special daughter to parents, Paul and Sandra Friedman & brother, Kirk Friedman of Minnetonka MN. A past-President of Barnert Temple in Franklin Lakes, Kathie enjoyed reading, tennis, food & wine, mahjong, travel and theatre. She was extreme- ly philanthropic, volunteering with many different organizations across the community. Most of all, she cherished time spent with friends and loved ones. Funeral services were held November 3 at Barnert Temple Franklin Lake, NJ. Kathie's family would be honored with a donation to the Barnert Temple Lifelong Learning Fund or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. They can also take comfort knowing that Kathie's memory will live on with each and every life she touched along her journey through Kenwood, Jefferson and West.
