Larry Fuller

Lawrence N. Fuller, 68, East Moline, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at Hope Creek Care, East Moline.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Burial is at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to QC Paws, Moline.

Larry was born on Jan. 16, 1948, in Leon, Iowa, the son of Lawrence "Dick" and Evelyn Venosky Fuller. He married Sheryl Klingibiel on Sept. 22, 1973, in Moline. She died June 21, 2007.

Larry held various jobs and retired as a machinist from Kone, Moline. He was a railroad enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, woodworking and was a Chicago Bears fan. He served two tours in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era, receiving numerous medals, including two Purple Hearts.

Survivors include his sons, Steven (Alicia) Fuller, Orion, and Jason Fuller, Davenport; grandson, Zachariah; siblings, Linda (Gary) Baney, Roaring Spring, Pa., Barbara (Scott) Nelson, Monmouth, and Roger "Skip" (Elizabeth) Fuller, Kansas City, Mo.; and his beloved dog, Abbie.
