I have been gone from the Quad Cities for a long time and hope that I see many of you when I return for the Class reunion. I retired from the Silver lake school district where I was a 4th grade teacher. My husband also retired from the district and was the band director. Since our retirement we have traveled to 48 states in our 1939 Chevy street rod, we have taken numerous cruises and have enjoyed retirement greatly. Our children are scattered across the world right now. Our oldest son Chris who is a Lt. Col, is in Germany in the Marine Corps with 4 of our grand children and his beautiful wife. Melodie our oldest daughter lives a few house away with 2 of our grandchildren in Silver Lake. She is a loan officer for Bank of America. Daughter #2 Alicia lives in Topeka, Kansas and has followed in her parents footsteps and is teaching school, Josh our 4th is a Capt. in the Marine Corps completing 2 tours in Afganistan. He is married and is expecting his second child in Dec. 2014. He currently is the Company commander of B Company at MCRD California. Our youngest son Zach lives in Woodlands, Texas with his wife and has one daughter. Zach released his first CD In July of 2014, you can visit his web page under the name "Zach Emory Band.com" If I had to give an accompolishement it would be graduating from college, completing a Masters degree with an additional 30 post graduate hours (thank you Mr. McMinn without your discouraging words I never would have gone that far) but my greastest accompolishmet was rasing 5 great kids that all graduated from college and currently have a job in todays stuggling economy.
