Jeri L. Nelson, 64, of Moline, died on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Trinity Rock Island.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Moline, with the Rev. Larry Conway officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa.
The former Jeri Lee Wells, the daughter of Harold and Hazel Lawson Wells, was born on May 30, 1948, in Moline. She graduated from Moline High School in 1966. She married David L. Nelson on Aug. 3, 1985, in Moline.
She was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for 35 years, and was currently secretary in the Army Contracting Command at Rock Island. She lived for her kids, loved to entertain and attend craft fairs and enjoyed reading.
Jeri is survived by her husband, David; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sarah Efflandt, Dubuque, Brian and Mary Efflandt, Geneseo, and Jonathan Nelson, Washington, Ill.; five grandchildren, Austin, Isabella, Kaleb, Ruby and Kieran Efflandt; her father, Harold Wells, Moline; and siblings, Marilyn Branson, Rock Island, Patty Sigmon, Medford, Ore., Susie King, DeWitt, Iowa, and John Wells, Charlotte, N.C. She was preceded in death by her mother; and sister, Linda Harris.
