MOLINE — Danny E. Banks, 65, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at UnityPoint-Health Trinity Rock Island.

A Celebration of Life will be noon–3 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2018, at the Friends Circle Club, Moline. Memorials can be made to the Rock Island County Animal Care and Control or the QC Animal Welfare Center.

Danny was born September 16, 1953, in Rosiclare, Ill., the son of Alfred and Marieta (Rice) Banks. He married Paula Trulson in 1972 in Rock Island. He married Linda Lief on February 25, 1994, in Elizabethtown, IL.

Danny retired in 2012 from John Deere Seeding, Moline, after 37 years. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Silvis, and Friends Circle Club, Moline. He was a die-hard Yankee fan and enjoyed fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; children, Lisa (T.J.) Baugh, Matherville, Stephanie (Nick Hammond) Banks, Matherville, and Shane (Nicole) Banks, Rock Island; stepdaughters, Sherri (J.R.) Beemblossom, Moline, and Christina (Matthew) Dean, Rock Island; grandchildren, Michael, Branson, Bryan, Brady, Miranda, Kaila and Ryan; great-grandson, LaKynn; mother, Marieta Mitchum, Moline; sisters, Barbara (Carl) Edwards, Taylorville, Ill., and Virginia (Ron) Barnes, Beaverton, Ala.; brother, Gary Banks; brother-in-law, Bob Owens, Moline; nephew, Bo; and nieces, Marcie, Heather and Tommy Lynn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy.
