John Diamond

John Diamond, 62, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island.

There will be no services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the family.

John Wayne Diamond was born Dec. 28, 1951, in Davenport, the son of Dale and Betty Mitchell Diamond. He married Patricia Elder on June 24, 1972, in Moline.

He was employed in maintenance by Rock Island School District and had served as chief of the Coal Valley Fire Department. He loved fishing and riding his Harley.

John is survived by his wife, Patty; a son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Mari Diamond, Rock Island; and siblings, Beverly Lindberg, Coal Valley, Dale Diamond, Montana, Darlene Diamond, Georgia, and Delores John, Orion.
